01
Does tooth extraction hurt?
No. We use local anesthesia to ensure the area is completely numb during the procedure. Some mild discomfort or swelling is normal for a day or two afterward, and we'll give you clear aftercare instructions to manage it.
02
How long do dental implants last?
With proper care and good oral hygiene, dental implants can last 15–25 years or even a lifetime. Regular check-ups help us monitor the implant and surrounding gum health.
03
What's the difference between simple and surgical extraction?
A simple extraction is for teeth that are visible and easy to access. A surgical extraction is needed for teeth that are impacted, broken at the gumline, or haven't fully emerged — such as wisdom teeth.
04
Are clear aligners as effective as traditional braces?
For most cases of mild to moderate misalignment, yes. Aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and work well for many patients. During your consultation, we'll assess whether aligners or braces are the better fit for your specific case.
05
How do I know if I need a complete or partial denture (RPD)?
If you've lost all your teeth in a jaw, you'll need a complete denture. If you still have some healthy natural teeth remaining, a removable partial denture (RPD) fills the gaps while preserving your existing teeth.
06
Are zirconia crowns better than traditional crowns?
Zirconia crowns are highly durable, biocompatible, and offer a more natural, tooth-like appearance compared to some traditional materials. They're a popular choice for both front and back teeth restorations.

How long does orthodontic treatment usually take?
Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case, but most orthodontic treatments take between 12 to 24 months. Simple cases with clear aligners may be completed faster, while more complex bite corrections can take longer. Your dentist will give you a personalized timeline during your consultation.
Is a root canal painful?
No. With modern anesthesia and techniques, a root canal feels similar to getting a routine filling. In fact, the procedure relieves the pain caused by the infection rather than causing it. Mild sensitivity for a few days afterward is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.
How often should I get a dental check-up?
We recommend a routine dental check-up and cleaning every 6 months. Regular visits help catch issues like cavities, gum disease, or early signs of infection before they become bigger problems.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
Contact Krishvi Dental Clinic immediately if you experience severe tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth, or uncontrolled bleeding. For a knocked-out tooth, try to keep it moist (in milk or saline) and see a dentist within 30–60 minutes for the best chance of saving it.
